Matthew/Chewy has been working at Google for 4 years, give or take a week. He's a developer advocate, which is a long way of saying he tries to explain technical things to non technical people. Before Google, he spent 10 years stuck behind a computer, dealing with the boring bits of websites - databases, backups, payment systems, sysadmin and other equally cool things - and left the design parts to people with a panache and style. When he's not working, he likes to play the banjo (bluegrass, of course) and sleep as much as possible.
