Grab a Drink with Travel Publishers and Advertisers

At this years event we have an exclusive Travel Networking Reception for all those working in and around the vertical.

If you have a networking or full pass then head over to the TradeDoubler chill-out lounge on level two, day two at 5pm. The event held for an hour before the ICE party over at the Fox gives you a chance to meet fellow affiliates and new and existing merchant partners over a drink or two at the end of the conference.

Don’t forget hot food will be available for you over at the Fox that evening, so don’t worry about networking on an empty stomach!

If you are also involved in the Casino & Gaming vertical then you can head to the opposite end of the room in the networking zone outside platinum rooms 5,6 & 7 too.

There are now just 7 days left until the event if you’ve not registered yet do so now before we sell out!

a4uexpo Thames Cruise & Charity Auction

Only 9 days left til a4uexpo!

A4uexpo has even more networking opportunities this year, one of which includes our Luxury Platform- A Thames Cruise on the middle evening.

Full conference pass holders can look forward to a pleasant evening on board the Silver Sturgeon, which will sail along the Thames to Westminster and back on the 14th October.

Please visit the Platform-A stand at a4uexpo to pick up an invitation.

London buses (blue ones!) will be providing a shuttle service from outside the Fox to the Canary Wharf Pier at the following times; 18:00, 18:30, 19:00 and three buses will be available for returning to The Fox at 11pm.   You can also reach the pier by tube to Canary Wharf.

Please Note: The Thames Cruise is only available to full conference pass holders and with a limited number of spaces available it will be on a first come first served basis.

However, an alterative meeting point on dry land will be Jamie’s Bar, Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf for those who do not make the boat or prefer to network on solid ground.

The Thames Cruise will also play host to our first Charity Auction.

We have received some fantastic donations for the auction; a full list can be viewed here

The Charity Auction will raise money for two very deserving causes, Cancer Research & the Lymphoma Association.

2008 Conference Brochure Now Available to Download

With only 11 days to go until a4uexpo begins with the Ignite Party, we have today uploaded a PDF version of the conference brochure that you will be receiving in your delegate bags!

If you haven’t started planning your itinerary with regards to the sessions you are going to visit at a4uexpo this year, the brochure will be a great help to you.

Peruse the brochure, which is packed full of information including the sessions, speakers, logistics, floor plans, exhibitiors, sponsor notes and importantly more detailed information about each session.

It could save you a lot of time in the run up to the event!

a4uexpo & Platform-A Thames Cruise

a4uexpo, Platform-A and Sky Bet invite you to join us on the 14th October on board the Silver Sturgeon for a night of networking.

This is set to be a fantastic evening, with complimentary food, drink and sparkling conversation.  As an extra treat for all attendees Sky Bet are offering you the opportunity to play their fantastic casino tables on board to win some great prizes!

The capacity of the boat is 540 therefore not all delegates of a4uexpo will be able to fit.  There will however be networking taking place on dry land for all those that do not get a ticket at Jamies Bar, Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf.

To obtain a ticket to this exclusive networking event please visit Platform-A on stand 13 or Sky on stand 35, showing your full conference pass.   Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis and full passes will be required to gain access to the boat.

Boarding time will be from 19.30 at the  Canary Wharf Pier, Westferry Circus, setting sail at 20.00 sharp!

a4uexpo event round-up and checklist with 3 weeks to go!

Autumn has crept up on us today, which means a4uexpo is now just 3 weeks away!

We have a fantastic speaker line-up this year, a bustling expo floor for you to peruse, 7 networking sessions and parties (yes seven!) - including our star evening where we will set sail along the Thames to Central London - all coupled with free beer, wine and food to help settle the nerves or excitement!

Here is the low-down on this year’s event:

Ignite Party

We kick off our networking with a pre-event party for those in town, and the location will be the Upper Deck Bar @ The Novotel ExCeL - Thanks to the lovely people at AffiliateFuture there will be food and drinks available.

You can also pick up your name badge here if you wish. You’ll avoid the rush in the morning! simply bring along your a4uexpo delegate invoice which will show your registration number - you’ll need to enter this code at our self registration desks. Nick and Darian will be on hand if you have any queries.

Hours :6pm til late

Location: Upper Deck Bar @ Novotel ExCeL

Registration

This year we have a new ’self registration’ system in place. It’s therefore critical that you bring along your business card and your a4uexpo delegate invoice which contains a code between 7 and 9 characters, you’ll need to enter this onto one of the laptops on the ground floor of the platinum suite.  You’ll see a mock up of your badge, simply press print and wait for your name to be called, you’ll receive your badge and lanyard. Before reaching for the escalator pick up your delegate brochure and bag which will contain a number of goodies! After that you’re done - head upstairs and grab yourself a much needed coffee.

Hours: Open from 8.00am

Location : Ground floor of Platinum Suite @ ExCeL (central within the boulevard)

Conference

The conference this year has four tracks taking place simultaneously each hour. With the number of tracks on offer you’ll find it hard to choose which to attend.

There are over 40 sessions held over the two days with over 80 speakers taking part this year on integral and peripheral topics.

Our keynote commences at 9.00am on day one, however please allow for registration as we expect it to be busy. On day two we give you a bit of time to recover from the networking cruise - however we do commence at 9.30 am, we’ll have coffee (and water!) available on level one and two so grab one before you hit the platinum rooms.

Lunch & Lunchtime Sessions

Lunch bags will be available for you to collect on each day, and refreshments throughout. I also hear that many exhibitors will have beer available on their stands! - We’ve billed our extended lunchtimes as networking lunches, which means you can either remain in the exhibition hall,  relax in the chill out zone or attend one of the lunchtime sessions whilst nibbling away!

Exhibition

This year we’ve given you a bit of extra free time to explore the exhibition, there will be around 40 companies exhibiting. We recommend that you take advantage of our ‘connect‘ system.  This allows you to schedule appointments with our exhibitors, whether sales or account management orientated.

Hours : Day 1 - 9.00am - 17.30pm, Day 2 - 9.00am - 16.30pm

Location: Platinum Suite, 2nd floor

Vertical Networking Receptions

We have four vertical specific networking receptions this year, two on each day.  They will take place within the TradeDoubler chillout zone and outside platinum rooms 5,6 & 7, both on level one.

Drinks will be available courtesy of our sponsors - further registration is not required.

Day 1 : Retail & Telecoms, 17.30 - 18.30, TradeDoubler Chill Out Zone

Day 1 : Finance, 17.30 - 18.30, Networking Zone near Platinum 5,6 & 7

Day 2 : Travel, 17.00 - 18.00, TradeDoubler Chill Out Zone

Day 2 : Casino & Gaming, 17.00 - 18.00, Networking Zone near Platinum 5,6 & 7

Thames Networking Cruise

One of this year’s networking highlights will be our Thames Cruise aboard the luxurious Silver Sturgeon, we’ll be sailing from Canary Wharf along the Thames to Westminster and back, food and drinks will be provided to all delegates courtesy of a4uexpo and buy.at.

This is a great networking opportunity for all our delegates to partake in.  To attend you’ll need to collect an invitation from the buy.at stand - we expect the cruise to be popular therefore arrive early - once we hit our capacity of around 500 people, we’re done! An invitation does not guarantee entry.

Hours: Board from 19.30 - Sails @ 20.00, Disembarks @ 23.15- 23.30

Ice Party @ The Fox

After your second day of action packed seminars you can relax at our closing party @ The Fox, - we’ll have some hearty grub, beer and wine flowing for you at the Ice Party, alongside our now infamous Ice Luge. This is a final opportunity for you to close deals, seal friendships and arrange follow up meetings with new contacts. We’ll also be holding a charity auction where you can bid on number of lots donated by companies within the affiliate marketing space.

Hours : 18.00 - late

Location : The Fox @ ExCeL (5 mins from the Platinum Suite)

As you can see we’ve scheduled in a lots of networking opportunities over the conference and whilst they are optional you’d be crazy to miss them.

Connect at a4uexpo.com

Connect with others at a4uexpo this year, with the launch of our ‘Connect’ system.

With only 26 days to go until the Affiliate Marketing Event of 2008 in the UK, a4uexpo is fast approaching.

To help you to receive some dedicated time with exhibitors and table-top stands during the conference, we have set up a ‘Connect’ system which enables you - the delegate - to request an appointment with an exhibitor or table-top, through 30 minute time slots over both conference days.

Simply go to our exhibitor list and choose the exhibitor you would like to make an appointment with. Then click on Connect next to the Exhibitor name. You then need to choose an available appointment time, by clicking on the connect button next to the time slot. Fill out your details and confirm the request.

The exhibitor / table top contact will then confirm or reject your appointment, the result of which you will be e-mailed.

A great way to plan your time at a4uexpo in advance.

a4uexpo Manchester Roadshow on Wednesday - Register for FREE now!

With the former Claire Hoyland (now Claire Taylor) away on her honeymoon until tomorrow, the task of reminding you all about the last a4uexpo roadshow in Manchester has fallen upon me.

Myself and Claire will be making the trip up to Manchester for the last installment of the free to attend a4uexpo roadshows before the big event. Held at Revolution, Deansgate Locks, we will be kicking off the evening at 7 p.m on Wednesday 10th September, providing you with one last chance to meet sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and delegates in an intense networking session before the a4uexpo 2008 conference held at ExCeL London, 14-15 October 2008.

You can register for this event now for FREE here. We have over 100 delegates registered to attend already, the list for which you can view here.

R.O.Eye, who are local to Manchester, have kindly offered to place their card behind the bar for the first hour of the event, which we thank them in advance for! Anyone else wishing to do so should contact me on Chris ‘at’ existem dot com.

New Affiliate Marketing in Europe, LinkedIn Group

We have added a new LinkedIn Group aimed at publishers, advertisers, agencies and affiliate networks who operate or have an interest in European Markets including but not limited to Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. The group is moderated by the team here at a4uexpo however you don’t need to be a past, present or future attendee to join, though shame on you if you’re not! ;)

Glasgow a4uexpo Roadshow - tomorrow!

The meeting point for the Glasgow a4uexpo roadshow will be the Zinc Bar on Princes Square. Look out for the a4uexpo meeting point flags!

On arrival, please approach a member of staff for a name badge.

We will be meeting from 5pm and plan to stay at the Zinc Bar until the serious networking has finished, we will then trust the lovely Fiona from Equator to take us on a pub crawl.

The Zinc bar will be serving food during the evening.

The a4uexpo team looks forward to welcoming you all to Glasgow.
