What happened next? The results of our world football competition!
For the last few weeks we have been testing your sporting knowledge with our a4uexpo Europe world football competition. We know you’re itching to find out the answers for each of the four stages of the competition and we’re not going to keep you waiting any longer.
Stage 1

Stage 3
Paul Robinson marks the beginning of the end for his international career with an almighty howler that contributed to England’s first major tournament non-qualification in 14 years and the sacking of manager, Steve McClaren.

Stage 4
Not known for his goal-scoring pedigree on Merseyside at club level, Ronnie Whelan displays the spectacular with a sensational scissor kick that earned the Republic of Ireland a draw against the USSR during 1998′s European Championship.
