Getting here
Train & Metro
The train station is located within a few minutes walking distance of all airport terminals and runs every 30 minutes between 6.00 and 23.00.
☞ Take the train to Sants Estacio station.
☞ From the station, take the metro line number 3 (green line) to Zona Universitaria, just 2 minutes walking distance from Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I.
Bus
☞ Aerobus shuttle bus service (A1) links Barcelona airport to the city centre)
☞ Catch the aerobus directly in front of all airport terminals.
☞ Get off the bus at Plaça Espanya (first stop).
☞ Take the metro line 3 (green line) to Zona Universitaria (2 minutes walking distance from the hotel).
By air
The 2nd largest airport in Spain, Aeropuerto Barcelona El Prat, is located just 7.46 miles from the city centre and a mere 6.8 miles from Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I.
The airport is the 32nd busiest in the world due in no small part to Barcelona’s status as not only an incredibly desirable tourist destination but also a rapidly developing business hub for many worldwide markets.
The largest and newest of the terminals was completed in 2009. The terminals offer restaurants, shops and facilities as well as easy access to buses, taxis and trains.
Taxi!
Taxis are readily available from outside the airport terminals and all over the city. The journey from the airport to Hotel Rey Juan Carlos should take 15 minutes and cost around 20euros dependent on the traffic in this big, modern city.
